Cell Phone For Soldiers is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services and emergency funding to active-duty military members and veterans. CPFS takes donations of your older cell phones, converts them to cash and then purchases prepaid calling cards and ships them to overseas military to call home for free.
5Gstore.com has had the honor of participating since 2014 with CPFS in an effort to positively impact the lives of others AND reduce waste for the environment.
Some may read that and think “Surely this is too good to be true” but we can assure you that is not the case!
So far in September 2021 alone – thanks to all of those who have locally donated at the 5Gstore.com warehouse, CPFS will be able to upcycle these unwanted cell phones and accessories to have them turned into:
over 3,000 minutes for our soldiers!

- Recycled more than 20 million cell phones, reducing the impact on landfills.
- Mailed approximately 2,500 calling cards each week.
- Since July 2012 Helping Heroes Home has assisted more than 5,000 veterans and their families with emergency funding.

CPFS has effectively provided 3 ways for you to donate your old cell phones:
- Self-Paid Label(great for donations of 10 or less cell phones):

- Apply this to your package to be used with any carrier of your choice.
- Pre-Paid Label (great for donations of 10+ cell phones):
- Go to this link and fill in the requested information for your donation https://row.ups.com/Ship/Ship/StandardShipGuest
- From here you will get a prepaid label that can be used with UPS to ship out your donation.
- Local Drop Off Location*:
- Go to this link https://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/donate/ and under the Drop-Off section click on Find A Location
- This will take you down to their map where you can enter in your zip code and search for locations between 10-300 miles away.
*We strongly recommend contacting the donation location before heading to drop off your donation to confirm they are still accepting donations in the event the website has not been updated.
