UPDATE – 12:10pm CDT
Per Peplink support:
Our engineering team has implemented a fix, and the platform is now stable. You should begin to see your devices gradually coming back online. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely to ensure full recovery. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. For the latest updates, please refer to our public forum post.
Peplink users: important update—if you’re seeing your devices unexpectedly offline in the InControl 2 portal, know that you’re not alone. The Peplink engineering team is already aware of the InControl 2 outage issue and working to resolve it ASAP.
What’s Happening?
As of around 10:15 AM CDT on August 14, 2025, users began reporting that all devices showed as offline in the InControl 2 dashboard—even though they were functioning normally onsite Peplink Community.
One user aptly described the panic:
“Nothing like a mini heart attack in the middle of the day thinking I had a huge problem…” Peplink Community
Another user confirmed it was not an isolated case:
“Getting a lot of reports in… Definitely backend IC2 issue.” Peplink Community
Confirmation from Peplink
Peplink’s own representative, Ramiro Bocanegra, confirmed the situation:
“We’re currently experiencing some issues with Incontrol2. Our engineering team is already working to fix it. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have new information. We appreciate your patience.” Peplink Community
Common Symptoms Being Reported
- Devices appearing offline in InControl 2 despite working normally.
- Some users encountering 503 errors or pages failing to load when refreshing the portal Peplink Community+1.
- Login issues in related areas like the forum (long load times, hanging on sign-in) are also being reported Peplink Community.
What You Should Do Now
- Don’t panic. This is a backend issue with InControl 2—not your devices.
- Avoid unnecessary troubleshooting. Your onsite hardware is fine—this isn’t a network or device failure.
- Monitor Peplink announcements. Updates are being shared in the affected forum threads Peplink Community+1.
- Inform your team or clients. If you manage networks remotely, let stakeholders know this isn’t an on-site failure.
- Keep an eye on the portal. Once the issue is resolved, InControl 2 should return to normal—no action required from your end.
