The Pepwave SpeedFusion Engine is a compact way to add Peplink's advanced functionality to a variety of equipment without revamping your entire network. It connects directly to your existing router, as well as select M2M devices, using either the built-in Ethernet LAN or USB ports. The Ethernet port of the SpeedFusion Engine can also be configured for wired WAN; combined with the two embedded 3G/4G/LTE modems, you’ll have up to three connections that can be bonded for faster speeds. The modems support frequency bands used by major North American carriers. Automatic failover ensures a more stable, more reliable network anywhere the engine is deployed.

It is easy to set up and manage your SpeedFusion-powered network with this plug-and-play router. Integration is plug-and-play, and Pepwave InControl 2 ports from the engine to your main router for cloud-based monitoring and management. Up to 60 users on your network will benefit from other functions such as unbreakable VPN bonding, IP Passthrough, GPS fleet management and WAN smoothing. The durable, low-power enclosure is small and non-intrusive. The 5GStore support portal becomes available as soon as you order with tip sheets, setup guides and other information to help you get more out of your SD-WAN North American SpeedFusion Engine.

  • Integrate Speedfusion Functionality: Place the SpeedFusion Engine in your product to give it the ability to connect to multiple cellular providers and form fast, unbreakable SpeedFusion connections. The SpeedFusion Engine is particularly useful for deployments that have tight space requirements and power budgets.
  • See and Manage Everything on InControl 2: Using Peplink’s InControl cloud-based management platform, you can view detailed connectivity, data usage, and even location information on all of your SpeedFusion Engines. In addition, InControl is also capable of remotely accessing the SpeedFusion Engine’s web admin, as well as applying batch configurations and firmware updates to groups of devices.
    • Group-Based Configuration: Apply a single configuration to groups of devices at the same time, this is useful for situations where you wish to preconfigure the SpeedFusion Engine before deploying it. Firmware configurations can also be pushed onto multiple devices, saving additional time.
    • Device Location Tracking: Using Incontrol, you can keep track of all the SpeedFusion Engines and other Peplink devices that you have deployed using a single map. Click any device to see where it has been at any given point of time, as well as the traffic and connectivity conditions at that time.
    • Remote Web Admin: Use InControl to remotely access any connected device’s web admin. There, you can perform almost any functions that you could perform if you were onsite. This feature enables remote troubleshooting, saving significant travelling and shipping time.
  • Terminal Block for Secure Power Supply: The SFE is equipped with a terminal block for secure power installation in vehicles and other locations.

What is required to bond connections on the Pepwave SpeedFusion Engine?

On its own, the SpeedFusion Engine does not support bonding, only failover and load balancing between the 2 Cellular connections. For more information on what is required and how SpeedFusion Bonding works, see here: https://5gstore.com/page/176_peplink_speedfusion_vpn.html

How do I use the USB port on the Pepwave SpeedFusion Engine to connect to a LAN?

You will need a USB cable to connect to the USB port on your computer. The end that connects to the Pepwave will need to be a Micro USB Type-B.
