Singtel and Ericsson are going to establish a ‘Centre of Excellence’ to spearhead 5G development in Singapore. A multi-million dollar investment over the next few years will help create the infrastructure required for a 5G network. With 5G expected to rollout globally in 2020, this is a needed push for the technology.
According to Ericsson, 5G will “boost annual revenue of mobile operators by US$582 billion from the year 2026.”
