Last fall, Verizon and the NFL teamed up to create a competition for gaming developers, with the goal of showcasing Verizon’s newly launched 5G mobile service. The high speeds and low latency offered by 5G open up possibilities for more advanced mobile games, an industry Verizon is eager to be involved with.
They have now named two winners, whose games will be revealed at the Super Bowl on February 2, 2020. New York game developers Colorfiction and Juncture Media will have the honor of showcasing their finished products, with their games using Verizon 5G Labs technology.
In addition to the Verizon 5G NFL Mobile Gaming Challenge, Verizon and NFL are continuing their partnership with the announcement that Verizon is bringing 5G to 13 NFL stadiums this season.
