Peplink launched their lineup of 5G-capable routers earlier this year, but since certifications with the US carriers were not complete (making activation difficult or impossible depending on the carrier), they have been appropriate only for testing and evaluation for most users. Carrier certification is necessary for users to be able to activate devices with compatible 5G data plans with their carrier of choice.
Today, Peplink announced that they have obtained certification from T-Mobile for their 5G lineup:
- HD4 MBX with 4 x 5G – 5G Quad Cellular Mobile Powerhouse
- HD2 MBX with 2 x 5G 5G Dual Cellular Mobile Powerhouse
- Transit with 1 x 5G 5G Mobile Router engineered for transportation deployments
- Balance 310 5G with 1 x 5G and 1 x Cat 12 5G-Hybrid Enterprise Branch Connectivity
“The approval from T-Mobile gives Enterprises a 5G device that won’t let them down like consumer devices often do,” Keith Chau, General Manager of Peplink said. “SpeedFusion enhances the ability of 5G to play a central role in Enterprise connectivity by using T-Mobile’s 5G network as the primary or backup connection”
