Introducing the Switch Always On. As a new member of our IP Switch family, the Switch Always On device will monitor your Internet/ network connections and automatically reboot power as needed. There’s a few added benefits however, WiFi support and a built in UPS. Upon loss of AC power to the Switch Always On, the backup battery can maintain power for up to 8 hours on average. Once AC power is restored, the battery begins recharging.
Without a web user interface, the Switch Always On is quite simple to set up using their cloud service. Simply create an account, add your Switch (or multiple Switches set in groups) for configuration and control. Full configuration can be completed via the mobile app, or the Switch Always On website. Push Notifications (via the mobile app) as well as email notifications, can be enabled for notice of Switch status.
Among device, battery, and port status, the Switch device offers the option to be configured via DHCP, or a manual IP address. Schedule options are available to reboot power ports a specific day and times, or even at a specific time interval (based on hours).
Restarts/ Resets to power ports done based on:
- No WiFi connectivity
- No Ethernet connectivity
- Total (AC) Power Loss
- Day/ Time
- Time Interval
- No WiFi available
