Teltonika FAQ

Are Teltonika routers compatible with dual‑WAN or backup internet setups?

Yes. The routers support LTE/4G alongside Ethernet WAN, with automatic failover or load balancing between connections to ensure continuous service.

How do Teltonika routers handle firmware and package updates?

Firmware and optional packages can be updated via the WebUI or remotely via RMS. Advanced users can also install packages with opkg.

How do Teltonika routers support both wired and wireless connectivity options?

These routers are equipped with multiple Gigabit Ethernet ports for high-speed wired connections, allowing users to configure LAN and WAN interfaces as needed. For wireless connectivity, they feature built-in dual-band Wi-Fi and support for external antennas to enhance signal strength. Many models also include Bluetooth for local configuration and IoT integration, making them versatile for both fixed and mobile networking environments. This combination of wired and wireless options ensures reliable internet access across diverse applications.

How does remote management work with a Teltonika router?

The routers can be managed remotely using the Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS). This cloud-based platform allows users to monitor device status, configure settings, push firmware updates, and troubleshoot issues from anywhere. RMS is ideal for managing large-scale deployments across multiple sites, reducing on-site visits and improving operational efficiency.

What are the benefits of using dual SIM, LTE, eSIM, and load balancing in Teltonika routers?

The routers support dual SIM and eSIM, enabling automatic failover between carriers or LTE, 4G, and 3G networks, along with load balancing across cellular and Ethernet links. This ensures uninterrupted internet service across your infrastructure and helps distribute data usage efficiently over the cellular network.

What industries typically use Teltonika products?
