Splitters are used in wireless amplifier (repeater) setups to split the amplified signal with minimum signal loss, so that you can utilize two interior antennas for greater coverage. Equal amounts of signal are sent to two antennas for similarly sized areas (for example, one antenna upstairs and one downstairs to rebroadcast the boosted signal to both floors).
You will need a "jumper" cable with an N-Male connector to connect your amplifier to the splitter.
The setup will look like this:
outside antenna -> cable -> amplifier -> jumper cable -> splitter -> 2 x cable -> 2 x interior antenna
- 698~2700 MHz Band
- Cellular Mobile Communication
- Low Insertion Loss, Low VSWR
- High Isolation, Low Ripple
- Microstrip Structure
- Inline Design
This splitter is only for use with 50ohm wireless repeater systems. It CANNOT be used with 75ohm systems, and it CANNOT be used with direct connect amplifiers (direct connect amplifiers are built to connect to the antenna port of one device; you cannot use a splitter to connect it to two devices).
