This antenna requires that you drill a hole in the top of your car/RV/bus to install it, and a minimum 8x8" metal ground plane is recommended. If your vehicle's roof is fiberglass or another material, copper or aluminum tape in an X shape can be substituted as a ground plane. A ground plane is not required but will improve performance.

*This antenna has five cables - two to connect to your device's cellular connectors, one to connect to a GPS connector, and two to connect to WiFi connectors. It can be used JUST for celllular use if you like the style of this antenna but have no use for GPS or WiFi (or vice versa) - you can simply leave the unused cables bundled up out of the way.
