The SMWG-312 features 3 elements in one antenna radome, measuring 4.2″ D x 3.2″ H (107 mm x 81 mm).

The Cellular element covers 694-960 MHz & 1710-6000 MHz including the 4G LTE, FirstNet 700 MHz, and LTE-U (unlicensed LTE) up to 5.85 GHz.

The second element can be used for WiFi at 2.4 & 5 GHz or it can be used for other wireless applications such as Public Safety at 4.9 GHz or DSRC at 5.9 GHz.

The third element covers GNSS. GNSS operates on GPS, Galileo, Glonass, QZSS or Beidou at 1561, 1575, & 1602 MHz.

how does it work? I purchased a vehicle that has one of these on it and am wondering what it was used for and if I can use it?

The MobileMark SMWG-312 is a Cellular, WiFi, and GNSS(GPS) antenna. It is a 3 element antenna: The First element,Cellular, covers 694-960 MHz & 1710-6000 MHz including the 4G LTE, FirstNet 700 MHz, and LTE-U (unlicensed LTE) up to 5.85 GHz. The second element can be used for WiFi at 2.4 & 5 GHz or it can be used for other wireless applications such as Public Safety at 4.9 GHz or DSRC at 5.9 GHz. The third element covers GNSS. GNSS operates on GPS, Galileo, Glonass, QZSS or Beidou at 1561, 1575, & 1602 MHz. The device can be used with a Router/Modem that supports this frequency range and SMA connectors.
