Splitters are used in wireless amplifier (repeater) setups to split the amplified signal with minimum signal loss, so that you can utilize four interior antennas for greater coverage. Equal amounts of signal are sent to four antennas for similarly sized areas (for example, one antenna on each level of a four story building to rebroadcast the boosted signal to all floors).
You will need a "jumper" cable with N-Male connectors to connect your amplifier to the splitter. We recommend this 2' LMR400 cable.
The setup will look like this:
outside antenna -> cable -> amplifier -> 2' cable -> splitter -> 4x cable -> 4x interior antenna
This splitter is only for use with 50ohm wireless repeater systems. It CANNOT be used with 75ohm systems, and it CANNOT be used with direct connect amplifiers (direct connect amplifiers are built to connect to the antenna port of one device; you cannot use a splitter to connect it to four devices).
