Splitters are used in wireless amplifier (repeater) setups to split the amplified signal with minimum signal loss, so that you can utilize three interior antennas for greater coverage. Equal amounts of signal are sent to three antennas for similarly sized areas (for example, one on each floor of a 3-story building to rebroadcast the boosted signal to all floors).
You will need a "jumper" cable with N-Male connectors to connect your amplifier to the splitter. We recommend this 2' RG6 cable.
The setup will look like this:
outside antenna -> cable -> amplifier -> 2' cable -> splitter -> 3x cable -> 3x interior antenna
This splitter is ONLY for use with 75 Ohm repeater systems. If you are using a 50ohm amplifier, you need the 859980 3-Way 50ohm Splitter (most consumer amplifiers are 50ohms - if you're not sure what you need, contact us!).
