It's a good idea to set up your router's wireless network name and password so that nearby users can't use your connection without your knowledge. It is fairly easy to do, but for those who want their router already configured when it arrives, we can set up your router with the network name and password of your choice before shipping for $15. If this option is selected, you will be prompted to provide your desired network name and password at checkout.
Pre-Configure Wireless Name and Password (optional) - details

Keep your business connected at an affordable price with a Pepwave Max OTG Router. This on-the-go enterprise mobile broadband router can combine up to four USB 3G/4G modems along with one wired WAN connection, using load balancing to give small businesses and branch offices more reliability and better performance without paying for expensive fiber optic lines. Better still, the Max OTG automatically senses when a connection fails and switches traffic over to healthy links. Even if multiple modems or WAN links falter, your network will stay online to handle important employee and customer traffic.

The compact, portable design of this tough mobile router can be plugged into your workflow in seconds and can take the pounding that comes with life on the road. Whether you’re working from the office or remotely, you can manage your router and connected devices using Pepwave’s cloud-based InControl software. Management options include a bandwidth monitor to avoid exceeding data caps and web reporting services for viewing usage statistics. 5Gstore includes a free year of tech support and around-the-clock access to our Support Portal which contains the a variety of Pepwave Max On-The-Go resources, how-to guides, and tip sheets.

Works as described

This is the most BORING router i ever own. Why? It just works. I swapped out my flakey WIFI Ranger for this and it was up and running and stable in less than 15m; load balancing away. I felt, well, a little empty. WiFI Ranger is advertised as a Wifi booster; being able to connect to hotspots up to a mile away. However, it also advertises "multiwan" eg, load balancing which doesn't work well. The Max on the Go was balancing perfectly my 3 hotspots tethered via usb as well as a wifi as wan connection and it was doing it flawlessly. I hope pepwave comes out with a newer generation of this product as it lacks AC wifi. However, im using this in conjunction with my ubiquity amplifi mesh router to provide AC connectivitiy and its rock solid stable. Super happy with this BORING product :)

Awesome router. This model has 4 functioning USB ports, so you can tether 4 cellular devices at once. This device replaced my Cradlepoint MBR 1000. It was so much easier to set-up and has some very useful functions that weren't available on the Cradlepoint.

I have 2 Hotspot devices directly tethered to my Pepwave. The Pepwave has a functionality that allows you to run off of both devices simultaneously or you can designate one to run at time. I have it set up so that once my monthly allowance is reached on one, it automatically switches to the other. This is so useful for me as I have incured some serious overage charges in the past.

The guys at 5Gstore were great in helping me choose the right setup for my situation.

How tall (physically) are the Wifi & Cell antennas? Needed for sizing on shelf height spacing.

The B One 5g utilizes the following:

(4) Peplink Paddle Indoor LTE/5G Wideband (600-6000MHZ) Cellular Antenna - SMA Male Connector (https://5gstore.com/1/13020)

(2) Pepwave 7.5" WiFi Paddle Antenna (2.4Ghz) (https://5gstore.com/product/6510)

The Cellular antennas are 5.5" long and the WiFi antennas are 7.5".

Is this router plug and play as far as VPN and WiFi? Also, can the MAC address be cloned on the fly?

The Surf SOHO supports SpeedFusion, L2TP, and Open VPN. It also has Wi-Fi as WAN and standard Wi-Fi broadcast features. The router has a default SSID broadcasting and ready to use out of the box.

The MAC address can be manually changed for the physical WAN ports only on Peplink devices.
