I bought this router to replace a problem ridden Verizon 4620L Jetpack that was the main source for home internet for years, there are no other options besides cellular in my location. The 4620L would constantly drop the connection, requiring 5-10 resets just to get through the morning news. I ended up waiting a long time for this new SOHO router to come out, and tried to cheap out with a T-Link router and a UML290 USB modem in the meantime...which was just as bad or worse than the 4620L from a reliability standpoint. The SOHO was worth the wait! I'm not an advanced user at all, but with the included tip sheet and a login to the knowledge base at 3G Store I was up and running in about 10 minutes. My speeds with the UML290 are up considerably (4-6 down/2 up to 8-10 down/6 up) and best part of all...NO RESETTING THE ROUTER! Seriously, it has ran 7 straight days and counting without one noticeable disconnect! Next I'll be shopping for an external antenna for it, but it is a such an improvement over what I had before, I am in no hurry. Top recommendations for both 3G Store and this router.
