The AP must be connected via Ethernet in order to provide WiFi access so while it wouldn't work with the MiFi, it should work with a router like the TP-Link you mention. For the MiFi, a WiFi as WAN capable device would be needed.

WiFi as WAN should work with these types of networks - once your router/bridge is connected to the network, you should see the splash page when you open a browser on a computer connected to the network. However, there are some instances where these types of networks do not "play nice" with WiFi as WAN - compatibility can be affected by the type of hardware or security setup used by the administrator of the WiFi source. We cannot guarantee that every WiFi source will work.
