Cellular antennas are NOT included - 16 are required. The cellular connectors are QMA (not SMA). Contact us for assistance with antennas if needed.

This router features two embedded modems and you will need SIM cards with active service from a compatible provider to use them. The HD2 has standard 2FF SIM slots - if you plan to use a micro or nano SIM, you'll need a SIM adapter.

Designed for rugged industrial-type uses, the Pepwave MAX HD2 MBX Router with 4X global 5G modems with Cat 20 LTE failover is the next generation in fast, safe, and reliable connections with failsafe solutions. Connect your VoIP phones, cameras, and access points either wirelessly or with minimal cabling — up to two cellular links.

Next-Gen Connectivity and Cloud Management
Enjoy uninterrupted productivity in many conditions, along with cloud-based management capabilities and fleet tracking as well Ignition Sensing technology. The HD4 MBX supports up to eight SIM cards (with room for more with an optional SIM Injector), has two embedded 5G/Cat 20 LTE, three wired WAN, two USB and Wi-Fi as WAN. You’ll appreciate the fast, wireless connectivity of this unit’s 802.11ac, 1166Mbps and 2x2 MiMo. For connected devices, take advantage of the nine GbE LAN plus two GbE WAN (one x LAN can be configured as a third WAN, if desired). The unique fanless design is ideal for high-particle environments and the compact design has a wide operating temperature range and multiple certifications for utilization in many different scenarios.

Dual Cellular Bandwidth Bonding
The HD2 MBX is capable of combining the bandwidth of up to 4 cellular links into an unbreakable, high-speed SD-WAN connection. The HD2 MBX supports up to 4 SIM cards, with room for another 8 with the optional SIM Injector. 

Ready for Any Environment
The HD2 MBX is designed for industrial usage. With its fanless design, it thrives in high-particle environments that would break other fan-based routers. The HD2 MBX also comes with 8x 802.3at PoE outputs to power your IP phones, cameras, and access points. Finally, the MBX has the same dimensions as the previous HD2, so it can fit seamlessly into any of your previous deployments.

Ready to Move
The HD2 MBX comes with multiple features to make it ideal for on-the-go deployments. Ignition Sensing gives it the ability to turn on and off depending on whether the vehicle has started. Upon vehicle shutdown, the MBX can also shut down after a user-defined interval, saving the battery from excessive drain.

The HD2 MBX supports the optional SIM Injector, which adds another 8 cellular providers to connect with. This mitigates weak spots in cellular coverage, ensuring consistent connectivity . If your deployment crosses national boundaries, you can also use the SIM Injector to load multiple SIM cards, preventing roaming charges. Finally, the HD2 MBX has rolling stock certification, meeting the strictest requirements of transportation deployments.
