Use several broadband connections to enhance your internal business network with the Peplink Balance 380 router from 5GStore. This versatile router gives mid-sized businesses multiple options for increasing their internet bandwidth and uptime without paying for expensive fiber optic service lines. It’s made for enterprise networks with 50 to 500 users that need secure “always-on” connectivity without overwhelming their servers with inbound traffic.

The Peplink Balance 380 includes three wired WAN ports for cable modems, DSL, satellite and other broadband internet services. There’s also a slot for a USB 3G/4G modem, giving you four total connections to work with at up to 1Gbps total throughput. The router constantly monitors each connection, and if one goes down, Intelligent Failover will automatically switch traffic over to other connections so you can continue working.

What separates this Peplink Balance is that it can work as a load balancing router or bonding router to improve internet speeds. With load balancing, internet traffic is assigned to a connection as it comes in, preventing any one path from getting overloaded so you get maximum speed from each connection. By utilizing SpeedFusion VPN Bonding technology (along with a second Peplink router), you can effectively combine all of your internet sources, utilizing bandwidth from each for a single ultrafast data pipe. This connection has unbreakable VPN encryption so no unwanted outside users can access sensitive information.

Router features:

  • Internet Connections Supported: 3 Wired WAN, 1 USB (view full compatibility chart)
  • WiFi Standard: No built-in WiFi. Add an access point (like the AP One Mini) if WiFi is needed.
  • WiFi Range: N/A
  • Ethernet ports: 3 GbE LAN + 3 WAN
  • Size: 1.72" x 16.8" x 10.7"
  • Bonding: SpeedFusion VPN Bonding. NOTE: Many factors influence the real-world throughput you'll see from bonded connections, including latency, connection type, connection speeds, traffic type, and reliability on both sides of the SpeedFusion tunnel. Cellular users should note that bonded cellular connections suffer from "flow control" of TCP traffic at the carrier level, and 5Gstore cannot guarantee that bonding multiple cellular connections will result in faster speeds (however, the other benefits of SpeedFusion remain, such as unbreakable VPN, session persistence, and 100% up-time as long as you have 1 healthy WAN).

Peplink has been making leading enterprise routers for more than 15 years and is known for networking devices that are fast and easy to use. Each Balance 380 router includes InControl Cloud Management and a web administrative interface so you can create connection rules, run bandwidth usage reports and receive alerts. Furthermore, the router can be dropped right into an existing network without needing to reconfigure existing network switches, firewalls and other devices. The 1U rackmount design allows for easy installation in your server room or closet. Other useful features include a bandwidth monitor to avoid going over monthly data allowances and a built-in WLAN controller with support for the Pepwave AP series. Add speed, security and dependability to your medium-size enterprise network with a Peplink 380 load balancer.

This router comes with a year of free 5GStore technical support plus access to an assortment of exclusive resources. Contact us for pricing and other information on how this router can help businesses stay connected.

How tall (physically) are the Wifi & Cell antennas? Needed for sizing on shelf height spacing.

The B One 5g utilizes the following:

(4) Peplink Paddle Indoor LTE/5G Wideband (600-6000MHZ) Cellular Antenna - SMA Male Connector (https://5gstore.com/1/13020)

(2) Pepwave 7.5" WiFi Paddle Antenna (2.4Ghz) (https://5gstore.com/product/6510)

The Cellular antennas are 5.5" long and the WiFi antennas are 7.5".

What can I use to add WiFi capabilities to the Peplink Balance router?

The simplest solution is to use one of Pepwave Access Points like the AP One Mini (http://5gstore.com/1/3516) or AP One (http://5Gstore.com/1/3172) - those solutions are plug-and-play and are built to work seamlessly with the Balance routers.

If you have a WiFi router you wish to use, most WiFi routers can be re-purposed to serve as an access point, but additional setup is required and that would not be covered by 5Gstore's tech support (we cannot assist with third party equipment).
