On November 14, the FCC is set to auction high-frequency spectrum for use in 5G networks, and several companies are confirmed to be bidders. Cellular providers Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile are confirmed to be bidders, and cable providers Dish and Cox have also signed up. Other traditional providers like Comcast, Charter, and Altice are not participating.
The available spectrum is primarily in rural areas, including a large portion in Honolulu.
