Every year, we publish one of our favorite roundups: the Top Products at 5Gstore. Customers ask for it, our team looks forward to it, and it is always a fun snapshot of what real-world connectivity looks like right now.
This year, the list was harder than ever to build, and that is a good problem to have.
Over the last year, we have grown into new product categories in a big way. Our Custom Cable Manufacturing line took off, we expanded accessory options, and more customers are buying complete solutions instead of just a single router. That growth created a very real challenge: How do you define “Top 10” in a way that is fair and actually useful?
If we were to base the rankings purely on revenue, higher-end routers have a built-in advantage. A $2,500 enterprise router can outrank a $300 IoT workhorse even if far more customers are buying the lower-cost model. However, if we base ranking strictly on quantity sold, some high-volume items like cables can dominate the list, even though they do not tell the same story about what customers are choosing for their primary connectivity hardware.
With that being said, this year, we are approaching the rankings of the top products at 5Gstore differently.
Instead of forcing every category into one list, we are breaking it down into two:
- Top 10 Routers
- Top 10 Antennas
This gives us a cleaner, more apples-to-apples comparison, and it creates a far more practical list, whether you are building out a fleet, upgrading a remote site, or dialing in a mobile setup.
Furthermore, because we know the world of connectivity is bigger than routers and antennas, we are also including a few Honorable Mentions. These are standout products that deserve recognition, but do not fit neatly into either main category. This runner-up list includes some newer categories that have become a larger piece of the 5Gstore wheelhouse.
