Digi International has released a new stable firmware version, 24.6.17.54, for their TX, IX, and EX cellular products. This update brings new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and security improvements. Additionally, significant updates have been made to Digi Remote Manager, their cloud management service, to enhance usability and insights.
Affected Models
The following models are affected by this firmware update:
- EX Series: EX12, EX15/EX15W, EX50
- IX Series: IX10, IX20/IX20W, IX30, IX40
- TX Series: TX54, TX64, TX40
New Features for IX10 Models
Hybrid IPv4 Addressing Mode: This mode allows the device to first attempt obtaining an IPv4 address using DHCP. If it fails to get an address within a minute, it will revert to the statically configured IPv4 address. This feature facilitates automatic connection and management via Digi Remote Manager when connected to a network that supports DHCP. Note that the addressing type must be changed to either DHCP or static after the first configuration change.
Enhancements for All Models

- SureLink Support: Improved monitoring of tunnel connections.
- Encryption Support: Enhanced security for connections.
- Updated SANE Client: Upgraded to version 1.24.1.2.
- Multiple WAN Bonding Servers: Configuration support added.
