Downloads and Updates for 5Gstore IP Switches

5Gstore is your source of hardware that will help optimize your company’s connectivity, including IP switches. An IP switch is hardware that connects a network’s devices (often a local area network, or LAN) by using data packet switching that receives and forwards data to the destination device. Unlike routers, IP switches send data only to the single device the data was intended for (a user’s computer, another switch or a router) — not to multiple devices or networks. 

IP switches occasionally require updates, which improve the performance, enhance security, address bug fixes and add new features. An IP switch may also need firmware updates if a network experiences frequent disconnections or intermittent connections. We’ve compiled downloads and updates for 5Gstore IP switches in the handy chart below. 

READ THIS IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH A MANUAL FIRMWARE UPDATE ON UIS MODELS

Please be advised that firmware upgrade should be undertaken at the users discretion and risk.

1. While the firmware is upgrading, the device LED will blink. DO NOT POWER OFF THE DEVICE during this time!
2. Upgrading from old firmware may take approximately 15 to 20min. Please be patient.
3. The outlet status will remain unchanged throughout the upgrade process.
4. CAUTION: DO NOT refer to the progress bar in the Web User Interface (UI) as indicator for completion.
5. A successful and completed upgrade is confirmed when the user login page becomes accessible again.
6. WARNING: Interrupting the power supply or network connection at anytime before login page appears can result in device becoming permanently inoperable.

NOTE: UIS device firmware can be updated through Cloud4UIS, the web interface OR the Windows Utility software. The EZoutlet (EZ-22B, EZ-62B, EZ-72B) firmware is updated via the app only.
