Works as expected. Good performance on T-Mobile, though I am still figuring out carrier-specific bandwidth throttling. For example, upload speed tests measure 40-50 Mbps up... but video streaming will seems to be able to get only a small fraction of that speed. Inserting an activated Verizon SIM card did not work as expected, and IMEI reported as not supported when trying to activate via US Mobile. Comes with a GPS antenna.

We this for our primary connection to Verizon, which is the only reliable broadband provider in our rural area. Verizon accepted the IMEI with no problems. We use it at home, so the mobility of this modem isn’t important to us. We leave it connected all the time, without problems. The interface is easy enough to use, and the SIM switchover function is very straightforward. It works with two Verizon SIMs, which lets us use more LTE data each month. This is exactly what we needed to use our Verizon LTE service as our primary internet connection. We couldn’t be happier!

I live in a rural area with ZERO options for internet except for Verizon LTE. I just upgrade to the Pepwave MAX BR1 ENT with CAT 12 from my Cradlepoint AER1650. WOW, I am thrilled to report my speeds using Band 66 are 120 Mbps/ 60 Mbps on a regular basis. My speeds doubled from the Cradlepoint using Band 4. I supply my whole house with internet using this router combined with hardwired and wireless access points. I am so glad I upgraded and highly recommend this router to anyone with Band 66 access.

i need a 6 to 10 meters cable that first with it

The BR1 Pro 5g has (4) Cellular SMA Female, (1) GPS SMA Female, and (2) Wifi RP-SMA Female connectors. Any cable that terminates in SMA Male would be sufficient for the cellular and GPS connectors. A RP-SMA Male cable would be required for the WiFi connectors.

To recommend a cable, we would first need to identify what antenna would be installed. Antennas terminate with different connectors and the type of connector would influence the cable required.

How tall (physically) are the Wifi & Cell antennas? Needed for sizing on shelf height spacing.

The B One 5g utilizes the following:

(4) Peplink Paddle Indoor LTE/5G Wideband (600-6000MHZ) Cellular Antenna - SMA Male Connector (https://5gstore.com/1/13020)

(2) Pepwave 7.5" WiFi Paddle Antenna (2.4Ghz) (https://5gstore.com/product/6510)

The Cellular antennas are 5.5" long and the WiFi antennas are 7.5".

Can I buy a Dc power cord for this unit

This unit has two additional cables for DC. The GPIO cable (https://5gstore.com/1/10233) and the vehicle cigarette lighter adapter (https://5gstore.com/1/11003).

Can the 2 SIM slots on the Peplink MAX BR1 be used at the same time?

No, they can only be used in a failover fashion. meaning only one will connect at a time. You need a unit with two or more modem modules in it (eg. BR2 Pro) in order to have 2 SIMs connected simultaneously.

Is this router plug and play as far as VPN and WiFi? Also, can the MAC address be cloned on the fly?

The Surf SOHO supports SpeedFusion, L2TP, and Open VPN. It also has Wi-Fi as WAN and standard Wi-Fi broadcast features. The router has a default SSID broadcasting and ready to use out of the box.

The MAC address can be manually changed for the physical WAN ports only on Peplink devices.

Will the Peplink MAX BR1 ENT power a POE device such as an IP security camera?

Yes, it supports PoE output for this purpose. The specs are 802.3at/af (ACW-622).
