I love the management integration..... But it kind of ends there. Setup two of these in two different buildings. At first they seemed ok but then I started getting complaints about dropped Vonage calls on cell phones and later cell wifi calls. I bought a third one and created a mesh. Pretty much nothing changed. Started checking signals and these babies were weak. The old lynksys home router would blow them away. It's funny as the MAX BR1 in the RV has a great wifi signal. Not sure exactly where to go from here,
guess that is up to Pepwave..... but.... you will probably should steer clear of these Minis

Swapped out a AP One Enterprise, laptop in the next room went from 200-250Mbit to 500-550Mbit, as long as you keep your expectations reasonable, you should be pleased with it

I really wanted to love this access point. Bottom line is that 5GHz performance is 1/3 of the AC Mini and the power consumption and heat generation is quite high, hot to the touch! The day I received this, it got discontinued at the 5GStore. As a result of this, I am either getting the new "Lite" version or another AC Mini.

Does a Peplink AP include 1 year of Inctonrol2 for free?

Yes, InControl2 is included with the free 1 year EssentialCare subscription that comes with the purchase of the AP One AC Mini.

Can a POE switch meeting IEEE802.3af/at connect the AP One AC Mini to the Balance One Core?

Yes it can. The AP One AC Mini uses 802.3af PoE input.

Does the Pepwave AP One AC Mini have a built in DHCP server to assing IP addresses to wireless clients?

Yes, The AP One AC Mini offers a router mode that will allow the unit to assign DHCP addresses.

When used with the Pepwave Surf SOHO will the AP One AC Mini extend existing wifi access points or it will create his own?

The Pepwave Surf SOHO does NOT support the AP Controller feature, which is what would allow you to have WiFi controlled by the main router. This provides the exact same SSID settings on the SOHO and your APs so you only have to configure the settings once. With the SOHO, you have to configure the APs separately. Technically, they are separate SSIDs, but you can still configure them with the same SSID and passwords to help with hand off between APs. The APs also support bridge mode, which means anything that connects through the APs will be on the same network as anything connected to the SOHO.

Can the Pepwave AP One AC mini be used to extend the wifi range of a MIFI or other mobile hotspot?

The AP One AC Mini must be connected via Ethernet in order to provide WiFi access so while it wouldn't work with the MiFi, it can work with hotspots that have Ethernet LAN ports. For the MiFi, a WiFi as WAN capable device would be recommended (see: https://5gstore.com/waw).

Can the Pepwave Surf SOHO act as a router for the Pepwave AP One access points?

Yes, you can connect the Pepwave APs to any router.

If I purchase a single AP One AC Mini can I setup a VPN from it to another site that's running a Peplink SOHO?

You would still require a router to connect the AP One AC Mini to. There's no way you could setup a VPN connection through a standalone AP.
