The MAX Adapter is compatible with models which have a USB WAN port. To set up and use your MAX Adapter with a compatible device, you must install operating Firmware 8.1.1 or higher.

Great device that is now working well on AT&T and Verizon networks. Initially wouldn't work with Verizon but great support from the Pepwave team quickly got Verizon to make an update.
Rock solid connections and is great when connected to a computer as you can access both SIMs and the eSIM.
However, when connected to a MAX device you can only access SIM A. Pepwave have advised me that the ability to access both SIMs from a MAX or similar device will come with 9.0.0 ... date TBD.
Summary, if you want it for a computer then 5*. If you want it for a MAX or other Pepwave device to add an LTE connection then 2*. I'd wait to buy until 9.0.0 firmware is out if you need to automatically switch SIMs as you travel.

Does the Peplink MAX Adapter support WiFi?

No, the Peplink MAX Adapter does not support WiFi. Connection to this device is only available via USB-C.
