It's a good idea to set up your router's wireless network name and password so that nearby users can't use your connection without your knowledge. It is fairly easy to do, but for those who want their router already configured when it arrives, we can set up your router with the network name and password of your choice before shipping for $15. If this option is selected, you will be prompted to provide your desired network name and password at checkout.

This router features an embedded modem and you will need a SIM card with active service from a compatible provider to use it. The BR1 has a standard 2FF SIM slot - if you plan to use a micro or nano SIM, you'll need a SIM adapter.

The Pepwave MAX BR1 Pro is an ideal solution for businesses that need a reliable and versatile wireless network. This cellular branch networking router has a four-port LAN switch, meaning it can be seamlessly deployed within existing infrastructure or set up as part of a temporary or satellite job site. It contains an embedded 3G/4G/LTE modem that supports most European cellular carriers. You can also use wired WAN and Wi-Fi as WAN to connect with devices. Pepwave’s SpeedFusion Failover technology monitors each connection, and if the primary connection goes down, it will swap over to a healthy back-up.

A number of enterprise features give the MAX BR1 Pro Euro router advanced networking capabilities. It contains redundant multi-carrier SIM card slots that automatically switch when you cross a country border, enter a low-coverage area or reach a data cap. Manage your vehicle fleet using built-in GPS tracking and manage the router as a whole using the cloud-based InControl 2 interface. The Pepwave BR1 Pro Wi-Fi router is designed to give you a more stable and more flexible business connection. 5GStore includes a year of free expert technical support with each router and you will receive a one-year limited manufacturer’s warranty from Pepwave.

5Gstore is a Peplink Certified PartnerRouter Features:

Packaged well. Had a little trouble with shipping but it was all Fedx. I have not had a chance to use it yet but looking forward to seeing how well it works.

We've been installing these since the model was introduced and have found it to be an excellent value with exemplary performance in the coastal marine environment..

No brainer. Excellent product. great range, flexibility, on software.

If you need to "git 'er done," spend the $800 and plug in.

There's not much of a price discount that I could find. This place does know the products and can quickly get any questions answered.
I'm using this in our restaurant. Now I can really see where the data usage is.
My camera's, POS, Internal use and Guest networks are all separate vlans. I have hot fail-over to cellular when our Comcast cable goes out.
The guest network has a landing portal where they must agree to terms of service and supply a verified email address to get WiFi.
Each vlan can have it's own operating schedule.
All controls are accessible over the web.
So far..... (1 week), it has been rock solid.

Can the 2 SIM slots on the Peplink MAX BR1 be used at the same time?

No, they can only be used in a failover fashion. meaning only one will connect at a time. You need a unit with two or more modem modules in it (eg. BR2 Pro) in order to have 2 SIMs connected simultaneously.

Is this router plug and play as far as VPN and WiFi? Also, can the MAC address be cloned on the fly?

The Surf SOHO supports SpeedFusion, L2TP, and Open VPN. It also has Wi-Fi as WAN and standard Wi-Fi broadcast features. The router has a default SSID broadcasting and ready to use out of the box.

The MAC address can be manually changed for the physical WAN ports only on Peplink devices.
