The Balance 305 is the "lite" version of the Peplink Balance 380. It includes all the same features and functionality as the Balance 380, except it supports only 2 SpeedFusion peers (380 supports 20)

The Peplink Balance 305 is designed for medium-size enterprise networks that need to always be fast and always be on. Load balance up to three wired WAN broadband connections and a 3G/4G USB modem for increased uptime with better reliability and user experience. The built-in automatic failover means the Balance 305 router will automatically switch to cellular Internet or another designated back-up source should your primary provider falter. Users can also increase bandwidth by using Peplink’s SpeedFusion VPN bonding, which provides the added benefit of unbreakable privacy and dynamic routing to protect sensitive or proprietary data.

Peplink BPL-305 routers are fast, versatile and customizable. The wired WAN, USB and Ethernet ports allow companies to combine bandwidth from an assortment of unique broadband connections using multiple ISPs. These connections can include cable, DSL, cellular and much more. Add or remove connections on the go based on your speed requirements and budget. The router has state-of-the-art network security beyond VPN such as a stateful firewall, DoS prevention and web blocking. It comes with CE, RoHS and FCC certifications for performance and reliability in busy environments.

This multi-WAN router can be dropped right into your existing network of 50 to 500 users without changing your current configurations. It has 1U rackmount hardware for easy setup. Device management is simple when you use the Web Admin interface, command-line interface or InControl Cloud Management application. From any of these options, you can set up email notifications, view bandwidth usage statistics or compile reports. A built-in DNS server and AP Controller Pro profile configuration software are among the other useful features. A year of expert tech support is included when you order a Peplink 305 Load Balancing Router from 5GStore. You can also add an extended warranty and Peplink SmartCare Support using the menus above.

5Gstore is a Peplink Certified PartnerFeatures:

  • Internet Connections Supported: 3 Wired WAN, 1 USB (view full compatibility chart)
  • WiFi Standard: No built-in WiFi. Add an access point (like the AP One Mini) if WiFi is needed.
  • WiFi Range: N/A
  • Ethernet ports: 3 GbE LAN + 3 WAN
  • Size: 1.72" x 16.8" x 10.7"
  • Bonding: SpeedFusion VPN Bonding. NOTE: Many factors influence the real-world throughput you'll see from bonded connections, including latency, connection type, connection speeds, traffic type, and reliability on both sides of the SpeedFusion tunnel. Cellular users should note that bonded cellular connections suffer from "flow control" of TCP traffic at the carrier level, and 5Gstore cannot guarantee that bonding multiple cellular connections will result in faster speeds (however, the other benefits of SpeedFusion remain, such as unbreakable VPN, session persistence, and 100% up-time as long as you have 1 healthy WAN).

very happy with item and customer service !

Rapidly growing office with 15 people previously on Peplink Balance One upgraded to Peplink 305. The Balance One is the bang for the buck champion but in actual use the 305 is noticeably faster for the users. No stats, sorry no time for that, just subjective. If you need to go cheap you can do 15 maybe even 30 users on a Peplink Balance One - but it is not optimal.

How tall (physically) are the Wifi & Cell antennas? Needed for sizing on shelf height spacing.

The B One 5g utilizes the following:

(4) Peplink Paddle Indoor LTE/5G Wideband (600-6000MHZ) Cellular Antenna - SMA Male Connector (https://5gstore.com/1/13020)

(2) Pepwave 7.5" WiFi Paddle Antenna (2.4Ghz) (https://5gstore.com/product/6510)

The Cellular antennas are 5.5" long and the WiFi antennas are 7.5".

Can you configure WAN as LAN on the Peplink Balance 305?

Yes, the balance 305 allows you to change a WAN port to LAN port for more local device connectivity.

What can I use to add WiFi capabilities to the Peplink Balance router?

The simplest solution is to use one of Pepwave Access Points like the AP One Mini (http://5gstore.com/1/3516) or AP One (http://5Gstore.com/1/3172) - those solutions are plug-and-play and are built to work seamlessly with the Balance routers.

If you have a WiFi router you wish to use, most WiFi routers can be re-purposed to serve as an access point, but additional setup is required and that would not be covered by 5Gstore's tech support (we cannot assist with third party equipment).
