This router features two embedded modems and you will need SIM cards with active service from a compatible provider to use them. The HD2 has standard 2FF SIM slots - if you plan to use a microSIM, you'll need the micro-to-standard SIM adapter.

The Pepwave MAX HD2 Mini is the ideal enterprise router for businesses who need fast, reliable data connections. This compact version of the MAX HD2 mobile router contains two 3G/4G/LTE European cellular modems and also has support for wired WAN and USB connections. Those with active SIM cards for a variety of European 3G/4G networks can use this compact dual 4G LTE router designed for maximum uptime in the office or on the go. Use it for fleet management and tracking, M2M networking and situations where Wi-Fi is not allowed for security reasons.

Enterprises don’t always have the space for full-size routers, and with the MAX HD2 Mini, you get a number of essential business networking features in a smaller size. Enjoy blazing connection speeds for up to 150 users by using the load balancing or SpeedFusion VPN bonding capabilities that combine some or all of your broadband sources. The HD2 Mini automatically monitors your connections, and if an Ethernet or cellular link stops responding, intelligent failover will switch everything over for continuous uptime. Users can monitor bandwidth usage and set the router to switch to other connections when one reaches its monthly cap, saving money on data overages. Built-in PoE technology further shrinks costs by reducing the amount of wires needed for operation.

All of the advanced options of the Pepwave HD2 Mini enterprise router can be maintained from any device with an Internet connection by logging into the cloud-based InControl 2 administration interface. From there, you can access GPS fleet management, bandwidth usage statistics and much more. It all comes in a rugged metal enclosure that provides physical security to go with the unbreakable VPN network security. 5Gstore provides a free year of expert technical support and extensive documentation with each router, and you have the option to purchase an extended warranty and SmartCare support from the manufacturer.

5Gstore is a Peplink Certified PartnerFeatures:

  • Internet Connections Supported: 2 Embedded 3G/4G, 1 Wired WAN, 1 USB (view full compatibility chart)
  • Networks Supported for Embedded Modems: 4G LTE (B1/2100, B3/1800, B7/2600, B8/900, B20/800), WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA/HSPA+/DC-HSPA+ (B1/2100, B2/1900, B5/850, B6/800, B8/900)
  • WiFi Standard: No built-in WiFi. Add an access point (like the AP One AC Mini) if WiFi is needed
  • WiFi Range: N/A
  • Ethernet ports: 2 GbE LAN + 1 GbE WAN (WAN can be configured as a third LAN if desired)
  • Power Supply: Type C (Euro) power adapter included. A converter may be necessary to power this router in some locations.
  • Size: 5.8" x 1.6" x 5.0"
  • Bonding: SpeedFusion VPN Bonding. NOTE: Many factors influence the real-world throughput you'll see from bonded connections, including latency, connection type, connection speeds, traffic type, and reliability on both sides of the SpeedFusion tunnel. Cellular users should note that bonded cellular connections suffer from "flow control" of TCP traffic at the carrier level, and 5Gstore cannot guarantee that bonding multiple cellular connections will result in faster speeds (however, the other benefits of SpeedFusion remain, such as unbreakable VPN, session persistence, and 100% up-time as long as you have 1 healthy WAN).

Automatic WAN Failover. Uptime. All the Time.
Wherever you roam, the HD2 keeps you online without interruption by automatically sensing connection status and switching between Ethernet WAN and up to 4G LTE/3G links as needed. It all happens so quickly and seamlessly that you probably won’t even notice occasional link connectivity issues.

Cap- and Cost-Aware Routing. Minimized Expenses. Maximized Performance.
The MAX HD2’s bandwidth usage monitor allows you to prioritize connections by cost and data allowance. It automatically switches

How tall (physically) are the Wifi & Cell antennas? Needed for sizing on shelf height spacing.

The B One 5g utilizes the following:

(4) Peplink Paddle Indoor LTE/5G Wideband (600-6000MHZ) Cellular Antenna - SMA Male Connector (https://5gstore.com/1/13020)

(2) Pepwave 7.5" WiFi Paddle Antenna (2.4Ghz) (https://5gstore.com/product/6510)

The Cellular antennas are 5.5" long and the WiFi antennas are 7.5".

Is this router plug and play as far as VPN and WiFi? Also, can the MAC address be cloned on the fly?

The Surf SOHO supports SpeedFusion, L2TP, and Open VPN. It also has Wi-Fi as WAN and standard Wi-Fi broadcast features. The router has a default SSID broadcasting and ready to use out of the box.

The MAC address can be manually changed for the physical WAN ports only on Peplink devices.
