I feel certain this router is perfect for some applications, however, we can't use it. We are a small, rural volunteer rescue squad. We need a simple, hardened mobile wifi hotspot that will (1) connect to the Internet through our Verizon account, and, (2) provide wifi connectivity inside the ambulance. We prepare our patient reports on iPads. The iPads receive patient data -- vital signs, ECG, etc -- from our on-board patient monitors. That data folds into the formatted report on our iPads. The iPads then transmit the patient report through wifi through the router across the 'net, to the destination hospital. We DO NOT NEED the "Internet of Things (IoT). We don't need netcloud. We just need a simple, tough, reliable mobile hotspot. We had that with our previous Cradlepoint IBR600PLE, but, it crapped out and now we are stuck with trying to figure out how to use the new generation. Does the industry not understand that there are lots of us out here who need simple, basic equipment? I'm sending this one back. We will rely on radio for our patient reports. Meanwhile, Cradlepoint tells me they have just the thing I need -- for $1,000. Not gonna happen.

5Gstore Comments:
We're sorry you found the new router complicated! The item you purchased is exactly the same as the IBR600LPE that you replaced - Cradlepoint just bundles the cloud service, warranty, and support with it now. The router itself is the same hardware that you had before. Please give us a call and we'll help you get up and running, as you should have no problem using this exactly the same way as you used your old unit.
